Thoughts on Day 3 of Read/Write Web class
![]()
One of the fun things about this class is that I am not only learning and practicing using these tools, I am in a room full of teachers who are asking questions, making discoveries and providing me examples of what I will experience when I am teaching my next courses. Whenever I prepare a class I think I have it covered, but when I actually have an array of learners in the room it turns out to be very different that I had thought it would be. In a way this is an example of me doing my own staff development with my “students” in the room (see Alan November on this topic) as much of the time I am working as a facilitator of teachers who are learning.
I found a bunch of people offering their del.icio.us links on podcasting in my ClassBlogmeister Support Community (a David Warlick item) and I went to AllanahK’s blog Life is not a race to be first finished and she had a recent post about using the Reasonably Clever website to make avatars based on Lego pieces, thus the new avatar at the beginning of this post.

Thanks for the link to my blog. Isn’t it great how we can all share and learn from each other in different time zones and hemispheres.
Hope you enjoy Skitch.
Cheers

Cathy,
I want to thank you for your comments and the help that you have given me this week. Its time to teach this old dog some new tricks. I hope to make this work for my students and teachers.

Cathy, you are screaming into the Web 2.0 community. I see you on twitter, in webcast academy, blogging. Wow, I need my roller skates to keep up with you. Now, don’t forget to make your audio introduction for WCA. I just finished my intro. it was fun. Great! Will you teach me the lego avatar?
